Honoring Suicide Prevention Month This September

Content warning: mention of suicide and mental health

Each year, over 700,000 people die by suicide globally, according to the World Health Organization. September is Suicide Prevention Month, and as the month comes to a close, we want to emphasize our support for combatting this alarming trend and encouraging more people to play a role in saving lives.

Last year, Spectrum Science’s Corporate Social Responsibility committee shared meaningful actions like contacting legislators for better mental health care, having open conversations about suicide, and sharing prevention resources. Community involvement, including social media advocacy and promoting support networks for survivors, continues to be an important part of preventing suicide globally. Spectrum is proud to raise awareness and support these lifesaving efforts. Learn more about how to get involved, here.
